Pleioblastus simonii 'Variegatus'

Height: 1 metre

This dwarf Pleioblastus has an interesting white variegation that differs from leaf to leaf. The broadish leaves vary from nearly completely green to almost wholly white, making this plant a sure conversation topic in the garden. Like many of its relatives it is an enthusiastic coloniser, and is best grown as groundcover or as a stabiliser of sloping terrain. It is happy in most types of soil in a sunny position.
