Height: 4 to 6 metres

Common Name: Golden Crookstem

This choice version of the species has gleaming yellow stems, and in spring the grooves acquire a magenta sheen if exposed to direct sun. It is the hardiest of all the yellow or golden stemmed bamboos. We think it makes a radiant specimen plant or screen, especially in the early summer when the new culms are at their brightest.
