Height: Up to 4 metres

Another new-to-the-west Borinda, this one came from China as seed in 1993. Like all the Borinda genus it is a clumper, but being more vigorous than most, this one should form a mature stand quite rapidly. The slender culms turn wine-red when exposed to sunlight, but the plant should be kept out of a scorching position. The leaves are larger than other fargesias.
